Be sure that any replacement belts are the same length and width as the belt they replace.
According to the Car Care Council, V-belts should be replaced every four years or 36,000 miles (58,000 km), while serpentine belts are designed to last for up to 50,000 miles (80,000 km). However, it’s a good idea to check your belts on a regular basis; ideally, once a month.
